Throughout these terms, “we”, “us”, “our” refer to Holyvity (the creative work of Gary Hopkins), and “you” refers to anyone using or visiting this website.

1. About Holyvity

Holyvity is a creative project offering resources, reflections and products that support an inclusive, justice-shaped Christian faith.

Unless otherwise stated, Holyvity is owned and operated by Gary Hopkins, based in the United Kingdom.

2. Using this website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not:

  • break any laws or regulations that apply,
  • infringe the rights of others, or
  • harm or interfere with the site, its security, or other people’s use of it.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to this website, the server on which it is stored, or any connected systems or data.

This website is intended for use by adults. If you are under 18, you should only use it with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Intellectual property and how you may use Holyvity content

Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website is copyright © Gary Hopkins (Holyvity). All rights are reserved.

This includes (but is not limited to):
text, prayers, reflections, liturgical materials, images, artwork, designs, logos, video, audio, downloads and other resources.

You may:

  • view pages,
  • print or download content for your own personal use,
  • use prayers, liturgical materials and other written resources in worship and non-commercial church/community settings, provided that:
    • you include an appropriate acknowledgement (for example:
      “© Gary Hopkins / Holyvity. Used with permission.”), and
    • where hymn lyrics or song texts covered by CCLI are used, you include them in your CCLI reporting/returns.

You must not:

  • copy, share, reproduce, adapt, translate, upload or distribute content from this site for any commercial purpose (including books, paid courses, paid events, merchandise or digital products) without our prior written permission;
  • remove any copyright or attribution notices;
  • claim Holyvity content as your own.

If you would like to use any content in a way that involves payment, commercial use, or distribution beyond local worship/community contexts, please contact us first to discuss permission.

4. Holyvity brand and images

The Holyvity name, logo and visual identity (including the heart-shaped logo and associated colours, fonts and designs) are part of our brand.

You must not use the Holyvity logo, brand elements or product images:

  • as part of your own branding, logo or visual identity,
  • in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without express written permission, or
  • for commercial promotion of your own products or services.

You may share links to the Holyvity website and products on social media or in church communications, provided it is clear that Holyvity is a separate project and you do not alter or misrepresent our materials.

5. Views and organisational relationships

Holyvity is a personal, independent project.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • The views expressed on this website are those of Gary Hopkins and/or Holyvity and do not represent any organisation, employer, denomination or body that Gary works for or with.
  • References to churches, denominations or organisations are offered in good faith for information and reflection, and do not imply official representation or endorsement by those bodies.

6. Information on this site

We aim to ensure that information on this site is accurate, current and helpful. However:

  • content is provided for general information, inspiration and worship use only,
  • it does not amount to legal, financial, medical or professional advice, and
  • you should not rely on it as a sole basis for making significant decisions.

We may update, change, add to or remove content (including resources and products) at any time without notice.

7. Shop, orders and returns

Holyvity also operates an online shop linked to this site.

Details such as:

  • prices (in GBP £),
  • accepted payment methods (for example, debit/credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay),
  • where we deliver to (currently UK only),
  • the fact that delivery costs are included in the item price (so there is no separate delivery charge), and
  • how returns and refunds are handled,

Where there is any conflict between these Website Terms and our Terms and Conditions of Sale in relation to a purchase, the Terms and Conditions of Sale will normally take precedence.

8. User contributions (comments, reviews, etc.)

If this website or connected platforms (such as blog comments or product reviews) allow you to post content, you are responsible for anything you share.

You agree that your contributions will:

  • be respectful, lawful and not defamatory, abusive, hateful, discriminatory or harassing;
  • not include confidential or personal information about other people without their consent;
  • not infringe copyright, privacy or other rights.

We may moderate, edit or remove user content at our discretion if we believe it breaches these terms or is otherwise harmful.
