A few quick answers to the things people often ask about Holyvity. If you can’t see your question here, just get in touch – we’re always happy to help.

Holyvity exists to help people live and share an inclusive, justice-shaped faith through creative, rich resources.

You’ll find words and everyday products you can wear, use, display and gift – from books and prayers to clothing, prints, cards and homeware – all designed to make faith feel honest, spacious and beautiful.

Holyvity resources also help communities grow a shared language of faith – words and visuals that honour people’s real lives and convictions – so that people can grow in confidence about what they believe, how they talk about God, and how they share faith with others.

Holyvity is for anyone who cares about faith, justice and creativity.

Preachers, worship leaders, chaplains, pioneers, small-group facilitators, retreat leaders and community workers will all find words and ideas they can use and adapt. People exploring faith on their own will find things that accompany prayer, reflection and everyday life.

Everything is created so you can reshape it for your context – whether that’s a church, a school, a café, a workplace, a village hall, a hospital ward or your own living room – and whether you’re looking for something to use in worship, to wear on your body, to hang on your wall, or to send as a card or gift.

Our resources are especially helpful for communities who want to find a shared language for faith that feels authentic, inclusive and confident enough to be spoken about beyond church walls.

By inclusive, we mean a faith that honours the dignity of every person: LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, neurodivergent people, people of colour, those who’ve been pushed to the edges of church life, and those who are unsure if they belong at all.

By justice-shaped, we mean a faith that takes the world seriously – poverty, climate crisis, racism, ableism, exclusion – and looks for God’s liberating love and joy right in the middle of it, not as an escape from it.

Holyvity resources try to hold all of that together: tenderness and truth-telling, beauty and honesty, contemplation and action.

Not at all.

Many Holyvity resources are written with worship and church life in mind, but they’re intentionally flexible. You can use them:

  • In gathered worship or informal services
  • In small groups, retreats and house groups
  • In a café, community centre or library reading group
  • In chaplaincy settings – hospitals, schools, prisons, workplaces and community projects
  • In creative spaces like art workshops, craft circles or quiet corners at festivals
  • Outdoors, in things like forest church, beach gatherings or reflective walks
  • At home as part of your own spiritual practice

And beyond written resources, clothing, prints, mugs, cards and other items are there as everyday prompts and conversation starters – things you can wear, use and share that quietly carry inclusive, justice-shaped faith into ordinary spaces.

Take what’s helpful, adapt it, and leave the rest.

Holyvity resources are shaped by the wider Christian tradition, with a love for the lectionary and the rhythms of the church year.

They also draw deeply on the growing stream of inclusive, justice-seeking theology that can be found across many denominations and church families – work that takes seriously the dignity of every person and the call to seek justice together.

We write with a wide range of churches in mind, and our resources are designed to be used by people from different traditions, networks and communities.

The growing Holyvity shop includes a mix of:

  • Books and written resources – for example, Priming the Lectionary
  • Printed items – greetings cards, postcards, art prints and posters
  • Clothing – such as T-shirts and other wearable pieces that carry gentle, justice-shaped messages
  • Everyday and home items – such as notebooks, mugs, tote bags and other pieces to use around the house or in your workspace

Everything is designed to sit comfortably with Holyvity’s vision: faith made beautiful, grounded in justice and inclusion, whether it’s something you read, wear, hang, hold or give away.

Holyvity uses a mix of print partners and small-scale production. That means many items are printed to order rather than pulled from a huge warehouse.

In practice, that means:

  • Your item is made especially for you once you place an order
  • There’s far less waste – no piles of unsold stock going to landfill
  • It’s possible to offer smaller, more experimental ranges and niche resources

Because products are shipped from different places, the delivery cost is included in the price of each item, so there’s no additional delivery charge added at checkout – what you see on the product page is what you pay.

We currently only accept orders for delivery within the UK.

Delivery usually takes a little longer than the very biggest online retailers, but you’re helping support a slower, more sustainable way of doing things.

Because we’re trying to do publishing a bit differently.

Printing to order means:

  • Less waste – items are only produced when someone actually wants them
  • Smaller, more adventurous ranges – space for designs and resources that wouldn’t survive in a “mass-market only” model
  • Room for niche and emerging voices – including smaller authors and more experimental projects
  • Lower financial risk – which makes it easier to keep creating justice-shaped, inclusive resources rather than only “safe” bestsellers

So yes, there’s often a slightly longer wait for your parcel – but your purchase helps sustain a more thoughtful, environmentally kinder and creative way of making things.

Not always.

Because different products are sometimes made and shipped by different print partners, your order may arrive in more than one parcel. You won’t be charged extra postage for this – it’s just how the logistics work behind the scenes.

All prices on the site are in GBP (£), and we currently only accept orders from the UK for delivery within the UK.

We accept:

  • Major debit and credit cards
  • PayPal
  • Google Pay
  • Apple Pay

We’re committed to growing Holyvity in ways that are as kind as possible to people and planet. That’s one of the reasons we use print-on-order, which reduces waste and avoids large amounts of unsold stock.

We aim to work with print and production partners who:

  • Offer good-quality, long-lasting products
  • Take working conditions and supply chains seriously
  • Are working to reduce their environmental impact

We’re not perfect and this is always a work in progress, but sustainability and ethics are part of the conversation whenever we make decisions about new products.

We want you to be happy with what you receive, and we’ll always try to put things right.

If something arrives damaged, misprinted or faulty, please contact us as soon as you can with your order number and a photo. We’ll work with you to arrange a replacement or refund.

Because many items are printed to order, options for returning things you’ve simply changed your mind about may be more limited – but if you’re unhappy with something, please do get in touch so we can talk it through.

For the full, up-to-date policy (including timeframes and eligibility), please refer to the Sales, Delivery & Returns page – that’s where the “official” version lives.

Yes, in many cases we can arrange bulk orders for churches, groups, conferences and events within the UK, and may be able to offer a discounted rate depending on quantity and product type.

If you’re interested in this, please contact us with what you have in mind (product, quantity and timings) and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
